Margy and Marc , so sorry to hear of you moms passing. Although we didn't know her, we feel your pain. My mom had alzheimers disease and mom B was beginning to show signs of it also. We love you. Take care and know that she is in a better place.

So to hear of your loss, your mom was a friend to all who know her. Our prayers are with you.

Dorothy was my God Mother. I will never forget her. She always remembered me at Christmas when I was a little girl. It meant a lot to me as a child of a poor family and being the oldest of seven children. She will always have a place in my heart and prayers.

Dorothy was mother to my Best Friend Steve Marx, and kinda to me also. She always made sure that I got a Strawberry Rhubarb Pie in the spring as soon as the Rhubarb was ready. Most of the time that pie got to my house. It seems at times it didn't quite make it this far, I've always wondered what happened to it on those occasions.

She was always a kind caring person and I particularly remember her patiently waiting while Steve and I would be working on her car.

Maggie & I will miss her and think of her often.

I am saddened to hear about the loss of your mom, and more so that I am not able to say goodbye to such a wonderful person and woman. As I am recovering from my shattered elbow, your mom will be in my prayers. When my mom passed in 2001, Dorothy brought over one of her famous casseroles. When I returned her dish, we sat for hours talking, she had all the time in the world to listen to my grief and share life. I made her a promise, that today I cannot keep, and it breaks my heart. Please know that in my mind and heart will be the song you asked of me, "On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother"......you were and are a great lady. I will miss you!

Dorothy always called my husband 'little Joe' witch his father never wanted a boy named after him because he didn't want him called JR. or little Joe so I always found it funny when she called him Little Joe. She was a wonderful lady. She was very friendly and made me feel welcome when we moved up here 26 years ago. She will be missed.

Dorothy remained me of my mother, the way she cooked and how she treated people, she was the most friendly and loving person I knew. When my own mother died she was always there for me. She was also very generous, always there with the best apple pie and and chicken soup when she knew I was sick.
