Hilma Kautza, of Antigo, died Friday, October 4, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 93 years old. She was born on September 19, 1920 in Aniwa, a daughter of Warren and Alma (Flemming) Klopstein. She married George Kautza on September 19, 1940 in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2007.

She attended grade school in Aniwa and high school in Antigo. She worked as a house keeper for area families and was a representative for Blair Products selling Child Craft and World Book Encyclopedias. For many years Mrs. Kautza was a partner and bookkeeper in the George Kautza Construction and Excavation Company. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo.

Mrs. Kautza enjoyed making ceramics, painting, selling Home Interiors, wallpapering, upholstering and refinishing furniture.

Survivors include a daughter Delores (Dan) Borneman, Antigo; two sons Jack Kautza and friend Sue Janssen, Birnamwood, Dave (Diane) Kautza, Antigo; a sister-in-law Arlene Klopstein, Wausau; 12 Grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lee Ann Menting; a grandson Dallas Borneman; a granddaughter Christine Kautza; a daughter-in-law, Judy Kautza; two sisters Mae Antoniewicz and Agnes Chroge; two brothers Orville and Earl Klopstein.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
