Howard "Howie" Hansen, (Flag Emblem) of White Lake, died Monday, September 9, 2013 at home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 77 years old. He was born on August 9, 1936 in Waukesha, a son of Harold and Hazel (Hansen) Hansen. He married Eileen Simmons on October 29, 1960 in Pewaukee. She survives.
He graduated from Pewaukee High School class of 1954 and served in the United Air Force from 1954 to 1958.
Following military service Mr. Hansen worked for Harnischfeger Manufacturing in Milwaukee as a systems analyst retiring in 1997. He continued consulting as an analyst for Compuware for several years after retirement.
In 1998 he moved to White Lake where he was a member of the Anderson-Sather American Legion Post 524 and the White Lake ATV Club. He volunteered as a snowmobile and ATV safety course instructor.
Survivors including his wife are a son Todd Hansen, Townsend; a daughter Teri (John) Orlando, Muskego; four Grandchildren Josie and Johnny Orlando, Cory Hansen and David Luckey.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer Hansen a granddaughter Jamie Hansen and a daughter-in-law Joanne Hansen.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Four Corners Assembly of God Church, White Lake with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating.
Visitation will be 9:30 - 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
The White Lake American Legion Post will conduct military rites at the church following services.
