Elizabeth Jeske, of Summit Lake, died Friday, September 6, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 90 years old. She was born on April 24, 1923 in Antigo, a daughter of Charles and Elsie (Drake) McNutt. She married John Jeske on January 30, 1942 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1983.
She and her husband owned and operated a mink farm and christmas tree farm in Summit Lake.
The time she valued most was when her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would visit and enjoy the breads, rolls, and other creations that came from her kitchen.
Survivors include a daughter Joyce (Phillip) Love, Wausau; a son Thomas (Mary) Jeske, Stevens Point; two sisters Marge Jeske, Summit Lake, Florence Shepherd, Antigo; three brothers Bill (Jan) McNutt, Des Plaines, IL, Bob McNutt, Sussex, Jerry (Pat) McNutt, Louisville, Colorado; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, John McNutt and a sister Mary Jane Egger.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Hahn officiating. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery at Summit Lake. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
