James "Arnie" Robrecht, of Antigo, died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at his home. He was 71 years old. He was born on May 6, 1942 in Antigo, a son of the late Arnold Robrecht and Erna (Gruenberg) Robrecht Woods. He married Sandra Wildman on January 16, 1965 in Antigo. She survives
Mr. Robrecht was a loader operator for the city of Antigo. He was employed by the city for 44 years, retiring in 2004.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Dave) McKinnon and Terri (John) Stift; two sons, Timothy (Sandi) Robrecht and Joshua (Jamie Krause) Robrecht all of Antigo; six grandchildren, Molly McKinnon(Jake Hegner), Emily Stift (Josh Nix), Ethan Stift, Abby, Benjamin and Elijah Robrecht; a great-granddaughter, Lily Nix; three sisters, Betty Piper, Ruth (John "Pete") Suick and Julie (Henry) Horn all of Antigo; a brother, Thomas (Shirley) Woods of Antigo; five sisters-in-law, Beverly (Paul) Wurtinger of Antigo, Janet Novy of Kaukauna, Joanie (Dick) Boers of Wausau, Kay (John) Quinlan of Antigo and Linda (Phil) Darr of Birnamwood.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Harmon and Carol Yarie; step-father, Jack Woods; a brother, John Woods; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Margaret Wildman; and brothers-in-law, Marvin Piper, James Harmon and Tom Novy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Jedras officiating. Burial will take place in the town of Summit Cemetery, Gleason. Visitation will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
