William Teal, of Antigo, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 92 years old. He was born on December 7, 1920 in Antigo, a son of Albert and Alvina (Knol) Teal. He married Verna Petrowski on January 25, 1946 at St. Wencel Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1999.
He attended Rosedale grade school in the town of Peck. He served in the United States Army having fought in Africa during World War II.
After military service he worked in logging for a number of years both at the Deerbrook sawmill and Kretz Lumber. He operated a farm in the town of Vilas and worked at Kraft in Antigo for ten years. Mr. Teal was employed with Krueger and Steinfest in Antigo for 20 years retiring in 1964.
He was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include two daughters Nancy (Gary "Tank") Sorano, Antigo, Carol Gervais, Antigo, a son William "Bob" (Danielle) Teal, Deerbrook; a son-in-law - Bill Loka, Rhinelander; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Loka, two granddaughters, a daughter-in-law, Maureen Teal, a son-in-law, Dan Gervais, three sisters, Katy Baginski, Loretta Blank, Fern Rydzewski and a brother Lyle Teal.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in Forestview Cemetery, town of Vilas.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

My sincerest condolences. Bill was a good friend of mine when I lived at Park View Manor. He and Charlie Sikora were my 'lunch buddies'. What a great guy and what fun we had talking about the 'good old days'.
