Jeanette Sowa, of Antigo, died Sunday, February 10, 2013. She was 71 years old. She was born on January 5, 1942 in Milwaukee, a daughter of Chris and Martha (Wilhelm) Sowa.

She was a graduate of Pulaski High School in Milwaukee with the class of 1961.

She was a certified nursing assistant for 20 years and volunteered at the Milwaukee Veterans Administration Hospital also for 20 years. She moved to Antigo in 2001.

Survivors include two sisters Carmen (Jerry) Dobbs, Deerbrook and Nancy Sowa, Durham, North Carolina; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Marilyn Danko and Shirley Sowa.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Upper Room Family Church in Elcho with Rev. Shane Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Burial will take place in Mt Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee on March 4, 2013.
