Dolores Callahan, of Antigo passed into eternal life, with our Lord and Savior, Monday, February 25, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Fridley, Minn. She was 95 years old. She was born on January 21, 1918 in Antigo a daughter of Anton and Eleanor (Walkowski) Baranzyk. She married Gerald Callahan on August 5, 1940 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wausau. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2005.

She attended St. John Catholic Grade School, graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1935 and also attended Antigo Vocational School.

Mrs. Callahan was treasurer for the Langlade County Register of Deeds before becoming employed and later retiring as a secretary at McCormick - Klessig & Associates.

A devoted follower of Christ, she was a member SS. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church and its Rosary Society and the Langlade Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

In addition to crocheting and gardening, she enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her back yard.

Survivors include a sister, Isabelle Cavers of Fridley and many nieces and nephews, all who will miss her.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Theresa Wyrwas and Florentine Baranzyk; and four brothers, Vincent, Aloysius, Jerome and Leo.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. with a parish wake service at 4:30 p.m. and a rosary society wake service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday from 9-10 a.m. all at the Bradley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in honor of Dolores to the All Saints Catholic School Fund in Antigo, WI.
