Marilyn Parsons, a longtime Antigo resident died Saturday, February 23, 2013 Kindred Hearts in Sun Prairie. She was 79 years old. She was born on July 8, 1933 in Polar a daughter of Harold and Stella (Smola) Krueger. She married Gerald Parsons on October 11, 1952 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Polar. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2011.
She was raised in Polar where she attended Franklin graded school and graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1951.
She was employed as a secretary at the Langlade County Court House followed by Hyland Lakes Dairy for a number of years. For 25 years she worked as a secretary at Sheldon's Inc. in Antigo.
Mrs. Parsons was a charter member and past secretary-treasurer of the Badgerland Classic and Custom Car Club.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling and reading.
Survivors include two sons Douglas Parsons of Saudia Arabia, John (Beth) Parsons of Sun Prairie; seven grandchildren: Kara Stephenson, Shelly Parsons, Cody Sinclair, Melaina, Sierra, Kendra, and Edison Parsons; a great grandson Remington Parsons;
a brother Harold (Joyce) Krueger, Salem, South Carolina; a sister-in-law Sandra (Robert) Pregler, Antigo.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, a sister Dorothea Obert and a daughter-in-law Jeanette Parsons.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Marilyn and Gerald were both wonderful, and very fun people. They worked at Jay and Judy's entertainment spot back in the 70's and we enjoyed them so much! I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral, but will always have a smile when I think of them. I may even have some pictures you'd like to have.
