Bonnie Henry, of Elcho, flew up to heaven to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 57 years old. She was born on May 9, 1957 in Racine, a daughter of Orval and Lorraine (Jonas) Nelson. She married William Henry on January 10, 1987 in Racine. He survives.
She was raised in Townsend and graduated from White Lake High School with the class of 1975. A resident of Elcho since 1991 she worked as a bus driver and was a caregiver at a group home in Rhinelander. She was also an employee of the United States Postal Service having worked part time at the Elcho and Pelican Lake post offices.
Bonnie was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho.
Survivors including her husband are two sons, Adam Henry, Green Bay, William (Kate) Henry, Waukesha; two daughters, Niomi (Berto) Olivares, Eden, Tiffani (Chris) Drake, Waunakee; eight grandchildren Emily, Jacob, Aubrey, Faith, Alyissa, Dante, Cadence and Everleigh; four sisters, Patricia (Harold) Johnson, Menomonie, Michigan, Sandy (Bill) Cook, Dillon, Montana, Jeanne (Jim) Whisman, Townsend, Deb (Scott) Wycherly, Townsend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Beverly Nelson and a brother in infancy.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Elcho with Rev. Dave Zimmerman officiating. Burial will take place in Nativity of Our Lord Cemetery in Rhinelander. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Bonnie, You have been my best friend for 34 years. We have laughed and cried through good and bad times. I thank God for bringing us together. I will cherish our memories together. I am sorry that I am unable to say good bye to you before you go to your final resting place. I am thankful that we were able to see each other in August. That is when we said our good byes. Hard to believe that she has gone to be with the Lord so soon. Her battle is over and now she is at peace. We will miss her enthusiasm and humor. We trust that she is keeping them laughing in Heaven.
I first met Bonnie when she became the best bus driver my sophmore year. Her and I had so many lovely conversations and she help me with her wisdom and kindness so many times after highschool was over I would see and it would brighten my day. We would talk for a long time and each time we departed she would give me the world biggest and greatest hug, my body would just melt with love and happiness I love you Bonnie always and forever

I'm going to miss her telling me what to do. I'm going to miss her laughter...I'm going to miss her smile, her hugs, but most of all I'm going to miss hearing her say she loves me. She was a wonderful Mom even if I didn't always tell her...especially when I was younger, but even when we were fighting I knew she would be there for me no matter the circumstance and I never stopped loving her nor her me. She fought a good battle and lost...but she was at peace with that. May her soul rest as her body hasn't allowed her to these last couple years.
