Donald Everson Ballenger , of Merrill, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 57 years old. He was born on May 10, 1955 in London, OH a son of the late Donald and Hildagarde Ballenger.
He had a love for the kitchen and serving customers. You could always find him in a restaurant kitchen cooking away with a smile on his face.
Survivors include two daughters, Jamie (Norm) Walrath, Deerbrook, and Terra Ballenger, Antigo; a son, Mike Ballenger, Aniwa; four grandchildren, Keegan and Keira Walrath, Arianna Hipke and Nevaeh Ballenger; three sisters, Sherri (Steve) Rector, Raymond, OH, Mickie (Chip) Siders, West Jefferson, OH, Diedra Lynhart, South Carolina; one brother, Michael Ballenger, West Jefferson, OH; friends, Sam (Trina Pavek) Makctoike and Watt Gee.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Candace and Sandra Ballenger.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 PM at Bradley Funeral Home with Reverend Rehbein officiating. Burial will take place in London, Ohio. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Don, how I will ever miss you. I will always remember how great you were and I will keep you in my heart forever. On my very worst of days you were able to make me laugh and smile. I always looked forward to seeing you everyday I had to work. I will never forget you going out of your way so often just to help me out or the many inside jokes we shared. Don you were an amazing man and you will forever be missed. My condolences to Don's family and other friends. May he shine down on us forever.
