Even though I knew Bill when we were both working as Wardens, I did not get to "Know" Bill until he retired, and we hunted birds in South Dakota together with Mark Beilfuss. Bill was a great guy, had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed discussion of the world's problems. Bill will be missed by many.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bill through the warden service when the vast Northern Region was formed. I worked primarily in out of the Regional office in Spooner on the far west end and Bill was fortunate enough to spend his years as a field warden on the east end. His work ethic and ability to relate to the public's needs was exemplary. He did the job right and for the right reasons. He will be missed.
Barb and the Lazarz family, we are saddened to learn of your loss and wish to extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy.

Jason and I were blessed to have known Bill, and Barb, for many years. We enjoyed their visits to SC and vacationing elsewhere. From our tour of history in Augusta and Charleston, to zip lining in MO, and evading the rock spy in the Smokey Mountains, we will carry with us many fond memories. We are so grateful they chose to visit us just last month and will forever cherish his memory. He was a wonderful man who dedicated his life to service of his country and his family. To Barb and all the family, we pray for God comfort to you all during this difficult time of loss.

Bill had a heart of gold. I was fortunate to work with Bill in Brown county, in 1985 & 86. Bill was a conscientious Game Warden, working long hours, protecting our resources. I considered Bill and wife Barb as close friends. A great family.
