Donald Baker age 96, of Antigo, died on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1928, in Newfoundland, Canada a son of the late Wilson and Leona (Martin) Baker. He married Lillian Park on July 19, 1952 in Toronto, Canada. She proceeded him in death of March 15, 2001.
In 1963 he and his family moved to Tampa, Florida were he entered work in the carpentry field. Upon his retirement he and his wife loved to travel in their RV across the United States and Canada visiting family and friends, and volunteering with the MAPS organization building churches, church campgrounds, and church schools. He was a man devoted to his faith and family.
Upon his first wife's death he moved to Antigo, in May of 2001 and became involved with family and the food pantry at Faith Center. In 2003 he moved back to Tampa. On August 14, 2004 he married Marie Cadwallader, who preceded him in death on January 23, 2014. In July of 2014 he returned to Antigo.
Survivors include a son, Marven Baker of Palm Springs, CA; a daughter, Marla (Rodney) Arndt of Antigo; a step-daughter, Wanda (William) Carpenter of Maryland; grandsons, Christian (Stephanie) Arndt of Clarksville, MI and Nathan (Rebecca) Arndt of St. Paul, MN; step-granddaughter, Jenny Brewer of Maryland; great-grandchildren Alexandra and Noah Arndt; and step great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Rachel Brewer.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Lester Baker and George Baker; a sister, Jane Baker; and a step-grandson, Claude Richard Carpenter II.
A graveside service will be held on April 14, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery, Antigo.

My sympathy to you for your loss of Don. He was quite the guy. I am glad I got to know both him and Lester. Fond memories from Pine Meadow. May he rest in peace.
