Marie A. Thill, age 80, of Monico, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2024 at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1944 in Antigo, a daughter of the late Herbert and Ann (Wyrwas) Dettman.

She was a 1962 graduate of Elcho High School.

Marie was employed at Triumph Twist Drill in Rhinelander for over 20 years. She attended Nicolet Area Technical College for early childhood development.

She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, horses, collecting rocks and owls. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble and cards. She deeply loved her dog, Misi.

Friends and family called her "Peaches", which was a nickname given to her by her father.

Survivors include two children, Mike (fiancé Sandi Fritsch) Thill of Antigo and Amy Gee of Monico; three grandchildren, Russell (Logan Korbisch) Runkle of Monico, Anna (Joshua) Budreau of Rhinelander, and Hayden Thill of Antigo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Gregory John Thill; son-in-law, Michael Gee; and two brothers, Herbert and Donald Dettman.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 20, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating.

Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home
