Orville "Bill" Elliott of Antigo, died Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was 90 years old. He was born on August 22, 1934, in Keystone, Oklahoma a son of Leonard and Gretchen (Mabary) Elliott. He married Sharon Clark on April 20, 1957, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She preceded him in death on August 10, 2024.

Bill was a career veteran having served over 20 years in the United States Air Force as a Communications Elect Programs Management Technician. He served in Vietnam during the war and was also stationed on several U.S. Bases and overseas in Italy, Japan, Germany and Korea.

Following his military career he became employed at Volm Bag for 24 years as a truck driver, in the office and maintenance, retiring in 1996. In his retirement, he worked part-time for James A. Gallenberg Certified Seed Potatoes.

Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, and bowling. He also enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball.

Survivors include three sons, Kirk (Nancy) Elliott of Antigo, Bruce (Renee) Elliott of Mukwonago, and Joel Elliott of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Dalton and Jordan Elliott; two great-grandchildren, Asher and Jasper Otto; and two brothers, Mike (Dottie) Elliott and Wiley (Jen) Elliott.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Winifred Southard; and two brothers, Oliver and Robert.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Bohemian National Cemetery, Neva. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Peace Lutheran School, 300 Lincoln Street, Antigo, WI 54409.
