Janice Alexander was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 24, 1949 to the late Robert and Leafy Hoehner. A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was received by the Lord with open arms into his kingdom on November 20, 2024, at the age of 75. She was the heart and soul of her family, caring for everyone with a gentle, generous and loving touch. A true matriarch, Janice's nurturing spirit kept her loved ones close and strong, and her memories will be cherished forever.

Janice was the devoted wife of Michael Alexander for 34 years. Together, they shared a loving and true relationship that was a testament to the power of love, patience and commitment. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.

She was the loving and proud mother of Jason and Janelle. Her children were the loves of her life, her pride and joy and gave her many endearing memories. She was the loving sister to Robert (Susan) Hoehner, James Hoehner, Paul (SueLynn) Hoehner and Kari Hoehner and loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, who adored her and who she enthusiastically spoiled. Family filled her life with immense pride and joy.

Janice was a woman of many talents. She loved to sing, play the flute, piano and guitar, often playing for the churches she worshiped. She earned a Masters in Music from St. Louis University. She was first a Registered Nurse, then pursued her talents by attending Wayne State University in 1979 obtaining three Board Certifications (Family Practice, OBGYN and Obesity Medicine). She has practiced at several hospitals in Michigan and Wisconsin and was the proud owner of Cedarburg Family Wellness & Aesthetics Center. She delivered over 8,000 babies into this world, assisted many couples conceiving their dreams of a new baby and others with adoptions. Her compassion and empathy for her patients was never-ending.

She gave back to the community through her involvement in church, fundraising activities (Pancreatic Cancer, Breast Cancer, Alzheimer's to name a few) and too numerous to count free office visits and consultations to her many appreciative patients. She participated in medical mission trips to Russia, Latvia, Tanzania and Honduras. She enjoyed training nurses, doctors, EMT's and other medical staff and taught classes, including, CPR, Pre-natal care and Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics. Janice's home was always open to family and friends. There was always room for everyone to make wonderful memories.

Janice's faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life, bringing her strength and comfort, especially in difficult times. She will be missed by all, but her spirit, love, compassion and memories will live on in every heart she touched. She was a true gift of God to many.

She will be missed, always thoughtful of her patients concerns, more than most doctors these days, may she rest in peace and our thoughts and prayers with family and friends. Amen
