Patricia A. Wald, formerly of Elcho, died on January 4, 2023, at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Antigo. She was 88 years old. She was born on March 24, 1934, in Elcho, a daughter of Richard and Alice (Schuh) Reynolds. She married Lester Wald on March 14, 1954, in Elcho. The couple later divorced.
She was a graduate of Elcho High School. Pat moved to Milwaukee to attend Columbia School of Nursing and became an industrial nurse. She worked for Massey Ferguson in Racine until retiring in 1985.
Pat enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word searches, reading books, taking trips to the casino, and watching the hummingbirds. In 2017, she moved to Gleason where she was happy to be back in the northwoods and the country life.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Wright of Racine, Sandra (Tim) Ruelle of Racine, and Cynthia (Harvey) Kost of Kiel; two sons, Lester Wald, III of Mattoon and Timothy (Michelle) Wald of Gleason; grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie "Owl", Melissa, Kristina, Joshua, Kate, Elizabeth "Lizard", Meghan, Joe, Andy, Gina, Greg, Emma, Madelin, Kevin, Lester IIII, and Richard; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Lynn Nelson of Elcho; sister-in-law, Elaine Reynolds of Elcho; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Gordon Wright; brothers, Leighton "Dick" and Robert Reynolds; three infant siblings; and ex-husband, Lester Wald, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Vicar Jennifer Sosinski officiating. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1 pm to the time of service.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Stephanie Kulas, Bella Wright, and our good friend, Tim Seubert. We would also like to thank LeRoyer Hospice along with Stacy, Courtney and Liz on making their mom comfortable in the end of her days.

I'm sorry that distance kept us from seeing each other the way we would have liked to but the distance didn't interfere with how much we loved each other. I love you so much because you loved your children so much. They were your world. If I'm fortunate enough to get to the other side I hope you're there with Grandma to help guide me in the door. And remember our little secret. Sometimes you feel like a nut sometimes you don't. It's our little thing. Just remember to keep an eye out for me please. Joan

I spent every day with you in your final days and it still hurts to know your gone. I’m so grateful for spending the time I got to with you! I wish more of your family would care as much as I and my parents did. Sherri new you wouldn’t like people looking at you in a casket you didn’t like your picture being taken for that matter. I hope that you are with Grandpa and happy to call him yours again. I love you dearly! (Owl)
