Michael J Federman, of Antigo, died Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at home under the care of his family and Compassus Hospice. He was 73 years old. He was born on April 1, 1948, in Antigo, a son of Reinhardt and Fern (Fischer) Federman. He married Rosemary Beran on November 13, 1971. She survives.
He graduated from Antigo High School in 1967.
He served in the United States Army having been drafted in April 1968. He served in Viet Nam and flew numerous helicopter missions having been trained as crew chief, gunner and pilot. He was discharged in July of 1969.
Mr. Federman was an auto mechanic and auto body person for the Ford Garage in Antigo for 10 years. He worked for Cousineau Auto Parts and Auto Body repair for 37 years. He was frequently assigned to do Cousineau's highest priority repair work. He retired in 2013.
He enjoyed fishing, bow and turkey hunting, gardening with his wife, and woodworking. He gifted many of his woodworking creations to his children and grandchildren. Mike was asked by neighbors and friends to repair and restore cars, furniture or whatever else needed work.
He was a member of the Sparks-Doernenburg American Legion Post #3, Antigo.
Survivors including his wife are two sons, Chad (Andrea) Federman, Hobart, Vincent (Noelle) Federman, Antigo; five grandchildren, Dane, Olivia, Avery, Alexis, Autumn; a half sister, Sharon West, Kaukauna; a half brother, Jerry (Lois) Fischer, Townsend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ron Federman.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Schroepfer officiating. Antigo Veterans will conduct military honors at the funeral home following services. Burial will take place at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday also at the funeral home.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Mike and I were the only 2 from Antigo being drafted April of 68. When we got to Fort Campbell we had to lineup count to 50. He was no. 50 I was no.1 so he went to A company I went to B company what a disappointment. We did get together on weekends off.
We both served in Vietnam.
