Rodney Alan Ingalls, age 59, of Polar, died Monday, January 17, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1962, in Antigo.
Rod graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1981.
Rod served in two branches of the United States Military. He served in the United States Army from 1980 to 1983 and then served in the United States Marine Corps from 1983 to 1988 as a highly respected, loved and awarded corporal.
Rod was a successful entrepreneur, installing fencing and pressure washing decking. He was also a tile mason.
He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, boating, and traveling. He was a caring and giving man who will be remembered for his sense of humor.
Survivors include his parents, Elva and Carl Rydzewski of Georgia; three sisters, Wanda (Peter) Bostwick of Seymour, Sandra Ingalls of Georgia and Michelle Tincombe of Arizona; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Amanda) Smith, David Smith, Angela (Aubrey) Wright, Ashayna (Adam) Lucero, Jennah Campbell, and Monique Ingalls. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Ingalls Jr., and a brother, Randall Ingalls.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 28, at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will Friday, January 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Military Honors will take place at the funeral home following the service.

My brother Rod served in the United States Marines Kilo company for approximately 8 years. He was a corporal who was greatly respected and loved by those he served with.
Rodney served on presidential detail and was awarded distinguished rifleman. He was a a 5th Award Expert, consecutive with 2 deployments (2 sea service). He was awarded a metal of conduct, conduct and served in Korea.

I am completely heartbroken at the passing of my big brother, my childhood idol and amazing hero with a heart of gold too many did not know the true depths of.

There will forever be an enormous hole at the loss of both of my beautiful brothers, Rodney and Randall. May they now once again laugh and joke and do what brothers do in eternal heaven.
