Marilyn B. Piper, of Antigo, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 69 years old. She was born on December 30, 1952, in Waukesha, a daughter of Kenneth and Marianne (Euhler) Rech. She married Thomas Piper on September 11, 1982, at the Faith United Church of Christ in Antigo. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2003.
She moved to New Berlin in 1960 and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Elementary School, Pilgrim Park Middle School, and Brookfield Central High School graduating in 1971. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Area Technical College receiving her nursing degree in 1979.
In 1979 she moved to Antigo for one year before moving to Polar. Marilyn was a registered nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Merrill for 5 years and then Langlade Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2003.
She loved horses, enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, bowling, and was a fan of Jeopardy. She was a proud mother and grandmother.
Survivors include four daughters, Megan (significant other Adam Smith) Piper of Portland, Mollie (Kieran) Kramer of Antigo, Mackenzie (Forrest) Williams of Antigo and Mindalyn (Kory) Walters of Summit Lake; three grandchildren, Lilia Piper of Portland, Stella Kramer of Antigo and Luka Williams.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend, Caroline Hoefer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Faith United Church of Christ in Antigo with Reverend Wes Jedras officiating. Burial will take place in the Town of Polar Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
