Garth Huettl, a longtime Elton resident, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Rosalia Gardens in Antigo. He was 78 years old. He was born on September 19, 1943, in Laona, WI a son of Aaron and Dorothy (Weiland) Huettl. He married Donna Ramer on February 13, 1965, in Crandon. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2018.
He was a graduate of Wabeno High School in 1961 and attended River Falls State College.
Garth was a Certified Advertising Specialist and Master Advertising Specialist, a designation reached by 5% of individuals in the industry. During his 34 year career with promotional products he and Donna lived and worked in Oshkosh, Winona, Minnesota, Orange City, Iowa, Mount Forest, Canada, Louisville, Kentucky, Memphis Tennessee, and Grafton, Wisconsin. They retired to Elton in 2008.
He was a board member of the Promotional Product Association - Mid South and Promotional Product Association of Wisconsin where he also served as vice-president and president.
Garth enjoyed time spent with his daughter, grandchildren and family, traveling and a good card game.
For the past three years Garth has enjoyed the community at Rosalia Gardens. Under their loving care they became his second family.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Huettl, Cedarburg; two grandchildren, Madeline Folstein and Jackson Folstein; two sisters, Marybeth (Gary) Schuster, Eau Claire, Dawn (Tony) Jakubiec, Wabeno; two brothers, Darwin (Helen) Huettl, Wabeno, Michael (Glenda) Huettl, Elcho.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Huettl; a sister-in-law Regina Huettl; and nephew Tom Huettl.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Burial of his urn will be held at St. Joseph Elton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Kim your dad was one of a kind, from 49th Street fun in Goodview, on to Iowa and WI his zest for life was infectious. I can hear his giggle and see your momma smirk 🥰 sending hugs and prayers to you and your family Kim, dad reunited with mom, bittersweet 😢🙏 but the memories we get to keep forever, hold them close. Very sorry for your loss Kim, Rest In Peace Garth, until we meet again 🙏❤️

Kimberly, I wanted to send my sympathies. I got to know your dad when I worked at Rosalia Gardens. He was quite a character. He was so proud of you and your children and spoke about you often. What an honor it was to be a part of his journey. Peace be with you and your family.
A part of my life for 60 years I will always think kindly of my brother in law. Guff enjoyed a good joke with a lift of the eyebrows and expectant look in his eyes as he waited for your laughter. He tickled himself as much as others with his humor and this love of fun and life is his legacy to his daughter and grandchildren. May you Rest In Peace with Donna at your side. I will see you again.

When Kim and I were little, we would run from Uncle Guff and I would tell, “Don’t tickle us” while Kim yelled “ don’t tickle us, Dad!” Of course he would gather us up and tickle us mercilessly. I will miss him so much but have the BEST memories of an uncle who truly loved me.
I have a simple piece of notebook paper with some of Garth's artwork. He came into the office after driving one day and drew me a picture. It was a picture frame and inside he drew cans of Dr Pepper, 7up, and I think Coke. He hands it to me and says, "What is that?" I was co fused and he went on to tell me it was, "Pop art". I always called him my little man Garth.
