I truly am sorry for your loss. Uncle Ivan often told me I was one of his favorite nieces as he swung me up on his shoulders when I was little. He did that a lot. (Maybe he, Grandpa and Dad are why I like heights, because they were all so tall and I knew I was safe.) He reminded me of Grandpa Schmidt because he looked a lot like him, he always had a smile and a joke for me and always had hugs for me. I remember him as part of the successful hunting party at the farm, snowmobile rides and him picking up Katrina and me to ride Scout every time they passed the campsite. Scout seemed so proud to showcase his little girls and Uncle Ivan seemed proud to be driving the procession.
