Patricia "Patty" Schulz, of Antigo, went to be with Jesus, Monday, September 20, 2021, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Her passing was the result of an intestinal bleed. She was 55 years old. She was born on October 3, 1965, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Patty was adopted at birth and raised by Henry and Elizabeth Pritchard in Norwood, Mass. She graduated from Norwood High School in 1983 where she played clarinet in their state championship and New England championship marching band.
She attended Stonehill College in Easton, Mass and graduated with honors from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. During her freshman year in college she was featured in Who's Who in America. She traveled to Italy on a mission trip and visited Israel on her breaks.
She met James "Jim" Schulz at a Christian convention in Dallas, Texas in July 1989. They were married on June 24, 1990. The couple settled in Antigo where Patty was a homemaker raising their three children. She took great joy in being a mother and grandmother and was passionate about raising her children in the love and admonition of the Lord Jesus.
She volunteered as a 4-H leader with the Strassburg-Everready 4-H Club. She was a member and active volunteer at her children's school - New Testament Church Christian Academy in Merrill. She was especially helpful in establishing the library for the Academy and Bible College.
She worked with her husband in managing rental properties and Top Tech Heating and Cooling, LLC.
Patty was an awesome woman of faith who shared Jesus with everyone, everywhere she went. She especially loved to encourage others with her testimony of how the Lord helped her through many health challenges over the years. For nine years, Patty and Jim conducted an evangelistic puppet show on Halloween for area children which featured Jesus' victory over death and the devil.
Survivors including her husband and parents are two sons, Nathan Schulz, Antigo, Josiah Schulz, Weston; one daughter, Sarah (Blake) Hughes, Murray, Kentucky; one granddaughter Meredith Hughes, and one grandson due in October; one sister, Adria Pritchard, North Conway, New Hampshire; one brother, Scott (Kerri) Pritchard, Norwood, Mass; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Faith Center Church of God with Pastor Dr. Hohman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Phlox with a meal to follow.
Visitation will be Sunday September 26, 2021, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Monday at the church one hour prior to services.
