DeLores Borneman, of Antigo, died Monday, July 12, 2021, at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 80 years old. She was born on April 16, 1941, in Wausau, a daughter of George and Hilma (Klopstein) Kautza. She married Daniel Borneman on February 28, 1960, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Birnamwood. He survives.
She was a graduate of Birnamwood High School in 1959.
DeLores and Dan own and operate T-Bone Acres beef cattle farm where she served as treasurer. They also owned and operated Borneman Equipment - being a Patz dealership, and Polar Welding where DeLores was vice president and secretary.
She was employed at Eastview Nursing Home for several years and for 28 years she worked for the Unified School District of Antigo in food service. She was a member of the Wisconsin State Food Service Association for 28 years and served on their State Board for 6 years. She was honored with the Wisconsin Outstanding School Food Service Worker Award and served as chair of the Professional Growth and Development Committee.
She was a member St. Peter Lutheran Church in Polar, taught Sunday school for 24 years and served as the church treasurer for four years. As a member of St. Peter's Ladies Aid DeLores was treasurer for eight years and program chairman four years. She also served as treasurer for Crestwood School Parent Teachers Association and ran the candy carnival.
DeLores was a Langlade County 4-H leader for 30 years and served 22 years as general leader for the Triple Progress 4-H club. For 24 years she volunteered as the Home Environment department chairman at the Langlade County Youth Fair.
She was well known as a cake decorator having made many wedding cakes and taught the craft in 4-H and at North Central Technical College.
She was captain of the Polar Welding bowling team and played softball for Polar Country Club, Women's League.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, berry picking and making jam, family picnics, camping, country music festivals.
Survivors including her husband are a daughter, Darnel (Brian) Leiterman, Polar; two sons, Pat (Pam) Borneman, Suring, Darand (Terri) Borneman, Milton; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Brian) Bosch, Rachel (John) Galland and Matt (Trina) Borneman, Ashley (Justin) Nacius, Jake (Ashley) Leiterman, Alexander and Noah Borneman; seven great-grandchildren, Natalie and Brogan Bosch, Charli and Easton Nacius, Riley and Layna Leiterman, Andrew Galland; two brothers, Jack Kautza, Birnamwood, Dave (Diane) Kautza, Antigo.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Dallas Borneman; a sister, LeeAnn Menting.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Polar with Rev. Donald Engebretson officiating. Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Mrs Borneman was a sweet lady. She was kind and generous to the students at West Elementary.
