Jamie Brian Mackiewicz, of White Lake, passed away at home in the comfort of his family on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the age of 59. He was born on March 26, 1962, in Antigo, the second child of the late James Mackiewicz and Sharon (O'Brien) Mackiewicz of White Lake.

He was a graduate of White Lake High School with the class of 1982.

In his youth he was a passionate member of the Evergreen 4-H Club. He enjoyed showing registered dairy cattle and beef cattle competitively through 4-H and the Kountry Kow Klassics on the local and state level.

Jamie went into the family farm business at an early age and farmed dairy cattle for many years along side his mom and dad. Through the years they formed the Mackiewicz Farms LLC. He also managed his own herd of beef cattle.

Still being active in 4-H he opened the farm up to the youth of the Crocker Kids 4-H Club that desired to show cattle. He was a leader in 4-H for 35 years.

He married Pegi Servi on May 5, 1990, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Antigo.

Jamie had a respect for the land, the power of nature, and how to work the two.

He enjoyed spending time on the farm, deer hunting, and traveling throughout the country with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pegi; his mother; a daughter, Rebecca Mackiewicz, Pittsboro, North Carolina; four siblings: Mike Mackiewicz, Antigo, Cindy (Jim) Reily, Rhinelander, Tom Mackiewicz, White Lake, and Annie Boshan, White Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John in infancy.

A gathering in celebration of his life will be hosted on the Mackiewicz Farm (W3415 Grudgeville Road, White Lake) on June 26, 2021 at 4 p.m. Family and friends of Jamie are welcome to attend.

The family offers a special thank you to the staffs at the Volm Cancer Center and LeRoyer Hospice.

Uncle Jamie is my hero
He does not believe in doing zero
He tells us "anything can happen"
His spirits never dampen
A special man he is to all
He tells us "try" you will not fall
Six foot two and looks of Lincoln
Hasn't shaved since seventeen I'm thinkin
He runs the farm, he is my boss
When he is not around, we are at a loss
He can do the work of three he says
Me, myself and I
To keep up with him we do try
With muscles of superman
And the largest hands
He can lift more than two mans
I only wish that someday I can be
Like my uncle Jamie
