Wendy Marie Kondzela, of the town of Neva, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 54 years old. She was born on October 4, 1966, in Antigo, a daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Heimerl) Vozka of Deerbrook. She married James Kondzela, Jr. on September 28, 1991, at St. Wencel Catholic Church. He survives.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School in 1985 and received a bachelors degree in Graphic Arts from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
She was employed in the graphics arts field in Appleton before working as bookkeeper and secretary for her father's insurance business.
She was a homemaker raising her two daughters in the town of Neva. She volunteered at Spring Valley grade school and enjoyed attending all of her daughters sporting events.
Most recently she worked as administrative assistant for Hands with Heart in Antigo.
As a young lady she enjoyed playing softball and volleyball.
She looked forward to and enjoyed the annual family fishing trips to Montana. She also enjoyed cooking, camping, gardening, crafting, scrap booking, family gatherings, attending garage sales, playing cards and caring for her pets.
Survivors including her husband and parents are two daughters, Katelyn (Luke) Marten, Crandon, Allison Kondzela and special friend Patrick Guerin, Deerbrook; two sisters, Polly Wittmann-Vozka and special friend Brad, Deerbrook, Misty (Joe) Steliga, Wittenberg; mother-in-law, Darlene Kondzela, Antigo; two sisters-in-law, Sandy (Rick) Fermanich, Antigo, Janet (Steve) Weber, Crandon; eight special nieces and nephews; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, James "Poncho" Kondzela, Sr..
A public visitation will be held Sunday January 17, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home.
A private family service will be held. Burial will take place in the town of Neva Cemetery in spring.

I have fond memories of spending time with Wendy when we were young and our families got together. So much fun...and lots of laughs! Both her and Polly were like big sisters to me during those years.

She sold many beautiful Christmas ornaments (I have at least 8-10 I purchased) & candle top pieces. I will will treasure them. This year once again they hung on our tree. She was very creative.
