Dawn Marie Leiterman, of Deerbrook, died from complications linked with a recent cancer diagnosis, on Monday, November 16, 2020, at Theda Regional Medical Center in Neenah. She was 52 years old. She was born on August 8, 1968, in Milwaukee, a daughter of Margaret (Clark) Resch of Mattoon and the late Cornelius Resch. She married Peter Leiterman on June 8, 2019, at Summit Lake. He survives.
She was raised in Mattoon and graduated from Antigo High School in 1986.
Following high school Dawn worked at Miller Electric in Appleton for several years. She was a homemaker for a number of years raising her family in Antigo.
In 2001 she returned to school attending North Central Technical College in Antigo where she became an EMT and worked in Langlade Hospital Emergency Room. She currently was employed as a medical assistant at the Spine and Brain Group Medical Clinic in Wausau.
She enjoyed being a homemaker where she excelled as a cook, enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and hosting family and friends on a regular basis. Pets were a regular part of her life as she loved all animals.
Survivors including her mother and husband are three sons, David L (Lacey) Marten, St. Paul, Minnesota, Ryan Resch, Pine River, Jordan Diestler, Antigo; a daughter, Megan (Jamie) Romportl, Antigo; two grandchildren Braxton and Braylon Romportl; two brothers, Clint Resch, Mattoon, Tim (Anna) Resch, Wausau; two sisters, Kathy (Rick) Fuller, Antigo, Jacquelyn (Ryan) Crump, Sheboygan; and her dog Bubbles.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a niece Beth Ruesch.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church, Neva with Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will take place in Bent Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Dawn was an integral part of our team at Spine & Brain Group. Both patients and staff sincerely enjoyed working with her. Her sense of humor frequently brought us many laughs. My deepest sympathies to Dawns husband children family and Friends. I have many fun memories of Dawn from years gone by , always a smile positive attitude and easy relaxed way of dealing with life’s curves. Her compassion in the ER was shown to my Mother a few times and she told me she Loved working at Langlade Hospital . I have no doubt she will be using her compassion and caring ways in heaven . Dawn , adjust those wings and fly high my friend, you will be missed..😘
