Betty L. Fischer, of Antigo, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 93 years old. She was born on July 4, 1927, in Antigo, a daughter of Albert and Marie (Rice) Guenthner. She married Orville Fischer on June 29, 1946, at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1995.

She attended Peace Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1945. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Missionary League.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She also enjoyed spending time at Post Lake with her family.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald (Linda) Fischer of Brooksville, FL, Randall Fischer of Schofield and Patrick Fischer of Antigo; eight grandchildren, Christian, Brent, Hannah, Isaac (Tori), Caleb, Jeremy (Ciarra), Jacob and Olivia; three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Kinley, and Kashton.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Fischer; a grandchild, Micah Fischer; two sisters, Virginia Andres and Lorraine Hoppe; and a brother, James Guethner.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
