Stella V. Lauters, of Pickerel, died Monday, November 5, 2018, at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 91 years old. She was born on May 17, 1927, in Saukville, WI a daughter of the late Raymond and Adelaide "Hattie" (Thielen) Rausch. She married Charles Lauters, II on October 4, 1945, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2011.
Stella raised her family in Grafton and following retirement moved to Pickerel. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel.
She enjoyed making chocolate candies, fishing, bread making and making rosaries.
Survivors include five children, Charles (Yuhae) Lauters, III of Appleton, Gary (Kathy) Lauters of Newburg, Mike (Shelly) Lauters of Pickerel, Deborah (Greg) Tannel of Rifle, CO and Scott (Holly) Lauters of Saukville; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Abbie Rausch of Saukville; and a brother-in-law, Richard Schreiner of Cedarburg.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 12 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pickerel with Rev. Dave Zimmerman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Pickerel. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Stella helped me extensively with so much shared Rausch ancestry information. Years back, she cheerfully came to visit with a small suitcase of genealogy, and later sent me a packet in the mail of her recent findings. My great-grandmother, Mary Rausch, was the sister to Stella's grandfather, Anton Rausch. Marie Lemke
You have my deepest condolences for your loss of Stella. Death is truly an enemy of all of us. Our loving heavenly father Jehovah will reunite us with our lost loved ones soon as promised in the Bible book of Revelation in chapter 21 verse 3,4. These verses may bring you much comfort.
I will always remember grandma Carol telling how much her and Stella would laugh and laugh when they were together. A smile would come to her face anytime she had memories of A. Stella. She never told me about what, just gave me the look like it's nothing to be repeated! Hahaha.

Aunt Stella was always trying something new & fun. Thats part of what made her the understanding and generous person she was.
As a child I was envious of her adventures. Little did I know we would have a vacation house so close to her & Uncle Chuck. They are why we have such great memories of up north.
My family lived very close to the Lauters when we were all growing up. There was always the running joke of how Stella's boys could smell the homemade bread my Mom made and they would just show up at our house.
We will miss stopping in at her house and hearing about her latest interests.
Aunt Stella, enjoy your new adventure in heaven and save a spot for us about a mile as the crow flys.
