Mary Rose Bauschka, of Antigo, died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Care Partners in Antigo under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 79 years old. She was born on May 26, 1931 in Antigo, a daughter of the late Josef and Evelyn (Harty) Bauschka.
She attended St. John Parochial School and graduated from Antigo High School in 1949. After graduating from Langlade County Normal School in 1951 she recieved her bachelor degree in education at Edgewood of Sacred Heart in Madison. She also studied at Sophia University in Japan.
She taught grade school at several public and parachoial schools in Wisconsin, California and Illinois. For 15 years she taught at St. Mary Grade School in Antigo retiring in 1996.
Miss Bauschka is a member of SS. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing the
flute, piano and harp along with knitting, fishing and aerobics excersice class.
Survivors include two brothers Conrad (Holly) Bauschka, Commerce, TX, John (Mary) Bauschka, Pelican Lake and Sarasota FL., a sister in law Martha Catherine Bauschka, Avon OH., along with six nieces and eight nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers U.S. Navy Captian Patrick, Fr. Joseph, and Michael Bauschka in infancy.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at SS. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers a memorials may be directed to LeRoyer Hospice.
