Edna Nitecki, of Elcho, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was 89 years old. She was born on March 28, 1921 in Bryant, a daughter of William and Amanda (Elliot) Underwood. She married John Nitecki on July 4, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2001.

She was a homemaker most of her life raising her eight children in Elcho. She read her Bible daily as her relationship with and serving her Lord was of upper most importance to her. Her kindness to others will long be remembered.

Survivors include three daughters Dixie Curran, Elcho, Karen (Theodore) Fellner, Neenah, Polly Davis, Elcho; three sons Michael (Roxanne) Nitecki, Antigo, John (Barbara) Nitecki, Brillion, Dee (Cindy) Nitecki, Elcho, a daughter in Law June Nitecki, seventeen grandchildren and many great grandchildren; a sister Ruth Migas, Elcho.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, William and Theadore Nitecki, a grandson, Daniel Nitecki; two brothers and seven sisters.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Upper Room Family Church, Elcho with Rev. Shane Wheeler officiating. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the church.
