Juliet Galarowicz, of Antigo, died Wednesday, Noveber 18, 2009 at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 95 years old. She was born on April 6, 1914 in Britton, SD to Walter and Mary (Wanken)Frisby. At the age of 3 Juliet's mother died. She was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. August Koch and raised in Deerbrook.
She married Alois Galarowicz on November 18, 1934 in Antigo. He preceded her in death in 1953.
Mrs. Galarowicz lived in Oshkosh many years and was employed at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for 20 years in food service. She returned to Antigo in November of 1979.
She was a member of St. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. She volunteered at the Craft Shop and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club, Local chapter of the AARP for many years and a member of the Advisory Council Committee on Aging.
Survivors include a daughter Sandra Jung, Murchison, TX; a daughter-in-law Pat Galarowicz, Antigo; two sisters Ann Reichelt and Genevieve Krell both of Souix Falls, SD; two brothers Richard Frisby, Tulsa, OK and Frances Koch, Sussex; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ron Galarowicz; a son-in-law, Bob Jung; three brothers John, Leo and Robert Frisby; five sisters Mary Oppold, Marceleen Synder, Clara Boysen, Grace Reichelt and Jean Knapek.
At her request a private graveside service will be held with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting with services.
