Genevieve Tillman, of Wausau, died Monday, August 3, 2009 at home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was 92 years old. She was born on June 21, 1917 in Triumph, Illinois to Floyd and Ruth (Smith) Dewey. She married Donald F. Tillman on July 6, 1935 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1983.

She graduated from Antigo High School 1934. Mrs. Tillman raised her family in the Town of Norwood, Langlade County. She enjoyed gardening, reading, baking, bird watching and most of all fishing.

Survivors include seven daughters, Phyllis Swanson, Three Lakes, Sandra (Gerald) Bodah, Carter, Donna (George) Pesl, Harshaw, Patti (Maynard) Nigbor, Wausau, Karen (Mark) Poull, Port Washington, Billie (Randy) Tushoski, Three Lakes, Terri (Todd) Kielman, Mattoon, four sons, Kenneth (Sandy) Tillman, Argonne, Tony (Kathy) Tillman, Three Lakes, Tom (Kris) Tillman, Antigo, Arthur (Cindy) Tillman, Antigo, a sister, Mildred Jansen, Antigo, 26 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a daughter Carole Saltness and a brother, Russell,

Services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Town of Norwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
