Ethel Gladys Fermanich, of Antigo, WI, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at her home with her family in the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 90years old

She was born May 7, 1918 in Mattoon the daughter of the late Arnie Fred and Alvina (Boettcher) Stone.
She married the late Gerald J. Fermanich on July 22, 1936 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mattoon He preceded her in death on April 26, 1966.

She was a member of St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo and a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Mattoon and the St. Monica Society. She was employed as a nurse's aid at Langlade Hospital, as a cook for many yeats at Jerry Tesch's Village Inn and the Cutlass Motor Lodge. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, her grandchildren and great grandchildren..

Surviving are 8 daughters, Donna (Peter) Steckbauer Harshaw, Katherine Fermanich West Allis, Mary (Thomas) Lombardo Sheboygan, Elizabeth (Royce) Stephanie Plymouth, Theresa Strassburg Appleton, Karen Fermanich Plymouth, Geraldine Fermanich Sheboygan, Carol (Rick) Mattmiller Birnamwood. 6 sons, Weseley Fermanich White Lake, James (Judy) Fermanich Mattoon, Don (Katherine) Fermanich Antigo, Bob Fermanich Richland, WA, Joseph ( Kathy) Fermanich Antigo, John (Debbie) Fermanich Wisconsin Dells; 48 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Evan (Arlene) Stone Plymouth; brother-in-law, Tom ( Helen) Fermanich Marinette; 2 sisters-in-law, Helen Fermanich Green Bay, Dorothy Fermanich Wausau and her good friend Vi Crha Antigo

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers Roy Stone in WWll, Harvey Stone, and Harold Stone one sister Marie Brown.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11am with Rev. Michael E. Betley, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery, Mattoon, Mattoon, WI.

Visitation will be Monday, December 22 from 8:30 to 10:30 am at Bradley Funeral Home .
