Robert Bob Doemel, of White Lake, died Monday, December 1, 2008 at Langlade Hospital in the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 88 years old. Born June 25, 1920 in Oshkosh to the late Robert and Lydia(Fischer)Doemel. He married Grace Brazeau on February 15, 1941 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Langlade.

Born in Oshkosh, he attended Chapel grade school and West High School in Green Bay. His family moved to the town of Wolf River in 1936 and he attended White Lake High School. He is a member St James and St. Stanislaus Congregation of White Lake and Langlade.
He served as the Town of Wolf River supervisor for 16 years, the ASCS Committee for many years, and the Langlade County Zoning Board for 7 years. He was also a member of the White Lake School Board for many years. He owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Wolf River until his retirement in 1977. In his retirement he was employed by his dear friends Ken and Audrey Schaller as the caretaker of the Northwoods Game Farm. He also enjoyed helping many dairy farmers in the area.

Survivors include his wife Grace Doemel, 8 daughters, Anne (Paul) Rauch White Lake, Jeannie (Ron) Michalowski Milwaukee, Kathy (Ron) Regnier Green Bay, Patsy Listle White Lake, Esther (Jody) Marohl Green Bay, Sue (Dan) Zupon Antigo, Carol (Joe) Hoffman Antigo, Lori (Dennis) Seis Antigo; daughter in law, Julianne (Alan) Doemel-Zahn White Lake; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Parents, a son Gary Doemel, a daughter Maggie Owen, a grandson, Matt Ramer, and a brother, Russell Doemel

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 10:00 am at Stanislaus Catholic Church, Langlade with Rev. David Kiefer officiating. Burial will take place in Langlade Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 3 from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a parish wake service at 7:30 pm at Bradley Funeral Home and Thursday from 9am to 10 am at the church.
