Edward Simek, of Antigo, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Crandon Nursing Home. He was 77years old
He was born September 19, 1931 in Town of Peck the son of the late Frank and Victoria (Franc) Simek.
He was married to Barbara Reynolds on October 23, 1954, she preceded him in death. He was later married and divorced from Barbara Mabry and Signa Lambrecht.
He graduated from Antigo High School in 1949 and served in the Wisconsin National Guard from 1952 to 1955 with Company C, 426th Infantry in Antigo.He was a Corporal. In Lake Geneva he was a milk tester. He was employed by Northern Auto as a salesman. From 1978 he and Ron Nonnenmacher owned and operated Mid Wisconsin Coaches until his retiremnts in 1993.
He was a member of ZCBJ Lodge 277
He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and his grandchildren
Surviving are 2 daughters, Valerie (Richard) Wilson Argonne, Sherri (Wayne) Link Crandon; 2 sisters, Ann Pechman Deerbrook, Rose Malliette Crandon; 5 grandchildren, Brian (Jill) Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Seth Packard, Shane Packard, Trevor Packard all of Argonne; four great grandchildren Blake, Nolan,Wyatt Wilson and Emersyn Packard. 2 sisters-in-law, Angie Simek McHenry, ILL, Jean Simek Wittenberg.
He was preceded in death by Parents, his first wife Barbara, 2 brothers Laddie and Frank. 1 Grandson Matthew Wilson
Services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2pm with Rev Omer Kelley
Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery Crandon, Crandon.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 8 from 1:00 pm to time of services at Bradley Funeral Home .
