Peter Glugla of Town of Harrison died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Langlade Hospital. He was 94 years old. Born April 15, 1914 in Town of Harrison, WI to the late John and Rose (Kryshak) Glugla
He was a member of St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church where he ushered for many years. He was also a member of Msgr Conrad Saile Knights of Columbus Council 1002, Antigo, WI, He was raised and lived his entire life on the family farm in the Town of Harrison. He attended Eau Claire Valley grade school and graduated from Antigo High School in 1933.
After his parents died, he and his brother Ted operated the family farm. Mr. Glugla also was employed at Antigo Milk Products, the Vulcan Corp,drove school bus, and was a milk hauler.
Survivors include his, 2 sisters, Angeline Wadalski Wausau, Katherine Zdanovec Antigo; many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and many great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Cecelia Glugla and Josephine Kaffka, five brothers Raymond, Theodore, Stanley, Alexander, and Victor Glugla.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 1pm at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Michael E. Betley, officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 29 at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church from 11am to 1pm.
