Edward J. Matuszewski Jr. of Antigo died Monday, August 25, 2008 at Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. He was 60 years old. Born July 26, 1948 in Antigo to Edward Matuszewski, Sr. and the late Mable(Strasser)Matuszewski He married Barbara Richmond on October 16, 1971 at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo.

He was born and raised in Bryant, graduated from Antigo High School in 1966. Served in the U.S. Army in Korea as a Sgt. Follownig his military service, he was employed by Don Fraley Buick as a mechanic. He was employed at Steber Lumber in Deerbrook, Hyland Lakes Potatoes and Schultz Potato Farm. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his his wife, Barbara and his father Edward J.(friend Sharon) Matuszewski, Sr Red Granite, daughter, Tina (Charles) Wild Antigo;and their son Nicholas; son, Edward Matuszewski lll Antigo;and his children Katelyn, Diezel,Jenna,and Tanner; 2 sisters, Gloria (Ray) Wurtinger Antigo, Katherine (Bill) Bergman Gleason; 3 brothers, Martin (Marlene) Matuszewski, Michael (friend Gail Koszarek) Matuszewski, David (Sue) Matuszewski all of Antigo. Also surviving are aunts,uncles,nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and mother and father in law LeRoy and Lucille Richmond and Barbara's foster parents Joseph and Clara Zelenka

Services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 11am at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery in the future. Visitation will be Thursday, August 28 from 9am to 11 am at Bradley Funeral Home. Antigo Veterans will conduct military honors at the funeral home following services.
