Glen Pat Wilson, of White Lake, WI, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at his home in the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 84 years old.

He was born June 15, 1924 in Underhill, WI, Son of the late Glen E. and Frances (Krueger) Wilson.
He was raised at Berry Lake, WI. He moved to White Lake in 1938, attended White Lake High School and was employed by Yawkee Bissel Hardwood Flooring.
During WWll he served in the United States Army 143rd Infantry and 36th Division in Italy. He received the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

He married Laura Jean Buchanan on June 12, 1947 in Langlade. She survives.

Returning to White Lake he was employed at Yawkee Bissel Hard Flooring. He worked as a heavy equipment operator through out the Midwest, In 1957 he joined the Langlade County Highway Department, working in eastern Langlade County. Retiring in 1986

He operated the White Lake Legion Club for four years, he was a past fire chief and a life member of the White Lake Fire Department, he served as trustee on the White Lake Village Board for 37 years.
He is a member of Hope Presbyterian Church, White Lake and served as a trustee for many years.

He was a life member and past commander of Anderson-Sather American Legion Post #524, White Lake where he served as Firing Squad Commander for many years. , life member and commander Wolf River Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9438, White Lake, life member Paul Marmes Chapter 23, Disabled American Veterans , Antigo, WI

He enjoyed gardening, hunting and being in the woods.

Surviving are his wife, Laura Jean Wilson and daughter, Laurel (Joe) Landis Milwaukee; son, Brian (Susanna) Wilson Norfolk, VA; sister, Margaret Swim White Lake; grandchild, Matthew Wilson Norfolk, VA; 3 sisters-in-law, Nadine Wilson White Lake, Faye Buchanan White Lake, Betty (Lloyd) Perry White Lake.

He was preceded in death by parents, brother Louis Wilson, sister Jeanette (Cap) Buettner, 2 brothers-in-law William Swim, James (Margaret) Buchanan

Funeral services will be held at Hope Presbyterian Church, White Lake, Monday, July 7, 2008 at 10:00am with Reverends Marvin Kindle and George Buchanan, officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Langlade Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 6 from 3:30 pm to 7;30 pm with a Military Honor Guard from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Bradley Funeral Home and visitation Monday at church from 9:00am until time of services.

Contributions may be made to the In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.. Online condolences may be made to www.bradleyfh.com.
