Elizabeth Betty McCarthy of White Lake died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at AGI Healthcare of Crandon. She was 87 years old. Born February 16, 1921 in Gary, IN to the late Forrest and Naomi (Meyers) Osborne. She married Leonard McCarthy on April 29, 1944 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Feb.21, 2008.

She graduated from Crown Point, IN, High School in 1939.

Betty was employed as a telephone operator in Milwaukee for Wisconsin Telephone. She did office work for AMPCO Metal for 20 years, and was a switch board operator and receptionist at New Berlin State Bank.
She enjoyed fishing, baseball and telling jokes.

Survivors include her daughter, Joanne (Roger ) Skorie, White Lake; son Patrick (Jayne) McCarthy, White Lake; sister Nancy (Joe) Bishop, Muskego, three grandchildren, Michael (Casey) Evon, Timothy McCarthy(fiancee' Beth Witman), and Martha McCarthy; two great-grandchildren Brandi and Destani Evon; three brothers in law, David Gleason, Milwaukee, Bill Schroedll, FL, Don (Arlene)McCarthy, AZ, two sisters in law Ruth McCarthy, Okauchee, WI, Edith Lutz, TX, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister Sue Gleason.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley, officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home.
Burial will take place in Langlade Cemetery.
