Myron Ellsworth Taylor died Friday, August 03, 2007, at his home. He was 82 years old. Born June 7, 1925 in Kaukauna to the late Earl and Marie (Fuchs) Taylor, he and Thelma Boettcher were married on September 12, 1947 in Antigo. She died July 16, 2001.
He attended the third, second, and sixth ward schools and Antigo High School. For three years he was employed at Zelazoski Wood Products working on saws. He later wasemployed for 20 years at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. In 1990, after 22 years, he retired from Amron Corporation as a set up man.
Mr. Taylor served in the United States Army during WWll as a T/Sgt for a tank crew in the First Army, Third Armored Division. He served in Normandy, Ardennes, Rhineland, and France and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He received the Purple Heart Medal after being wounded in France on October 22, 1944.

He was a life member of Leland Tollefson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2653, Antigo, WI and a life member of Paul Marmes Disabled American Veterans Chapter 23, Antigo, WI.
He enjoyed Fishing and Hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Judy Raduechel, great grandson Steven Smith, sisters Edna Halfhill and Gertrude Smith and a brother Ward Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 6, 2007 at Noon at Bradley Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Dickerson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 am to time of services. Antigo Veterans will stand honor guard from 11:30 to Noon and will conduct Military Honors following services. Burial will be held at Antigo Cemetery.
