Emma Spearo longtime town of Rolling resident died Thursday July 12, 2007 at Bohlman Manor in Birnamwood under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 91. Born on Nov. 30, 1915 in the Town of Rolling to George and Anna (Pekarik) Schmiester, she married Anton Spearo on October 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1972.
She attended the Strassberg grade school and was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.

She farmed most of her life in the Town of Rolling. She enjoyed Crocheting, picking mushrooms, making firewood and dandelion wine.

Survivors include her brother George (Mary) Schmiester of Antigo; three sisters Josephine Johnson and Tillie (John) Storellie all of Sacramento, CA, Betty Warzynski, Westfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother Frank, three sisters Velma Perkins, Mary Reingruber, and Julia Keating.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 14, 2007 10:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be directed to St. John Catholic Church or LeRoyer Hospice. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences at www.bradleyfh.com.
