Hilda F. Swanson, age 103 of Post Lake area died July 6, 2007 at Taylor Park Nursing Home, Rhinelander, WI. She was born June 2, 1904 in Mt. Pleasant, MI to the late Albert and Minnie (Hudson) Fair. She married Charles H. Swanson on June 18, 1938 in St. Ignace, MI. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1991.

In the 1920's and 1930's she worked as a cook in logging camps in the UP of Michigan.
In 1940 she and her husband operated the Rolling Stone Lake Resort for 10 years. She has lived in the Post Lake area for many years.

She enjoyed her flower gardens, berry picking, and fishing. She found great pleasure cooking for her family.

1 Son: Delwin (Caryle) Swanson Post Lake, WI
17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 37 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 9, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Bradley Funeral Home. Rev. Jack LaMar will officiate. Visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 pm.
Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Summit Lake, WI
