Leslie E. Marmes (Hermsen), 58, Langlade, WI, passed away at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 following a long battle with lung cancer. She was born March 21, 1949 to Robert and Elizabeth (Rademacher) Hermsen. She married Jeff Marmes September 21, 1978 in Oshkosh. He survives. Leslie was born and lived in East DePere until her marriage. She then lived in the Neenah-Menasha area. She spent many years in banking and bookkeeping until her illness. She moved to her cottage and lived in Langlade until her death. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth and sisters; Nancie, Judy, Barb, Suzanne, Lynn, Georgie and Lisa. Brothers, John, Peter, Paul and Mark. She is further survived by her mother and father in Law; Roland and Helen Marmes; sisters in law, Monica, Betsy, and Charleen and brother in Law, Mark. Many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins and her dog Millie.
Leslie was preceded in death by her Father, Robert and her brothers, Robert Jr and Mike. Also her pet Misty.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held. Please no flowers or gifts. Prayers will be appreciated and you may donate to your favorite cancer charity, if you so desire. Many thanks for all the caring and support from Dr. Abouzelam and his staff. Dr. Goggins and his staff at Fox Valley Oncology. All the fine people at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Radiology, Emergency, ICU, Surgery, second floor, fourth floor and Subacute. You were all great to us! Thank you also to Langlade Memorial Hospital in Antigo, Emergency and third floor and Troutland Rescue. We thank our large families and numerous friends for the help and love during this long endeavor. Our brave girl finally gave in to her illnesses. Love you, Wait for me...Jeff
