Herbert C. Pyatt, Jr. age 76 of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Kempster, died January 24, 2007. He was born Nov 22, 1930, son of the late Herbert C. and Nelda (Quick) Pyatt Sr.
Mr. Pyatt Retired from the US Navy with a Bronze Star Medal and was retired from the State of New York Military Affairs as a New York State Representative. He over saw five Navel Militias and two National Guard Armories. He organized and was president of Unit 226 of the Fleet Reserve at Stanton Island, New York. Mr. Pyatt was a member of the Knights Templar Masonic Lodge of Stanton Island, New York and served as Deacon in the Congregational Church at Stanton Island.
Survived by his wife B. Chris Pyatt, four children, Tom Pyatt, Jeff Pyatt, Judy Trybula and Christine Mehan, 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, two brothers, Michael Pyatt and Patrick Pyatt, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, June Sagen, Beverly Dobrinska, and Mary Miller.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Kempster Cemetery with a Masonic prayer and Military Honors conducted by the Elcho American Legion Post #377. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. On line condolence may be made at www.bradleyfh.com
