Steve McNeil age 18 of Antigo died Saturday May 5, 2007 in an automobile accident. He was born on February 6, 1989 to Patrick and Karen (Schremp) McNeil. He attended All Saints Catholic Grade School, Antigo Middle School and, as a senior, was preparing to graduate from Antigo High School.

Steve had a passion for cars and it showed in the way he styled the exteriors and updated the sound systems in his Jeep Grand Cherokee and Mercury Cougar. Nothing pleased him more than having the thunder of bass announce his immanent arrival. One of his goals in life was to own an import auto dealership.

He is survived by his parents Pat and Karen, one brother Michael at home,
his dog Hunter, his girlfriend Alanna "Sassy" Newman, her parents Larry and Connie Newman, best friends Tyler DeBroux and Conrad Waldner, paternal grandmother Virginia McNeil and paternal grandfather Bucky McNeil, aunts and uncles Jerry (Susie) Schremp of Waunakee, Susan Schremp of Arlington Heights, IL, Patrick (Becky) Schremp of Trego, Donna (Mike) Garrison of Reedsburg, Tom McNeil and Shannon McNeil both of Wausau, and many cousins and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Morrie and Pearl Schremp and an Uncle Steve Schremp, paternal great grandparents Ken and Nelda McNeil, Tom and Edna O'Brien.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled on Tuesday from 3:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
