Harriet Aleen Bishop of Elcho died Monday April 23, 2007 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 82. She was born on May 28, 1924 in Jenkins, Minnesota to Hjalmer and Anna (Larson) Olson. On March 1, 1943 she married Robert G. Bishop in Wichita Falls, Texas; he preceded her in death on March 20, 2007.
A graduate of Juneau High School in Milwaukee, Mrs. Bishop worked for Harley Davidson as a bookkeeper for 20 years retiring in 1979. Following retirement she and her husband moved to Elcho where she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and their Women's Club. She enjoyed time spent with her family, quilting and reading.
Survivors include two daughters Sandra Bishop of Sussex, Nancy (Craig) Seivert of Minneapolis, MN. Two sons Wayne (Sandra) Bishop of Mukwonago, and Stephen (Lucille) Bishop of Hartland. One sister Betty (Verwin) Flora of Oshkosh, one brother Milo (Muriel) Olson of Post Lake. Eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister Helen Scheible, one brother Arthur Olson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho with Rev. Roger Strebel officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences at www.bradleyfh.com.
