Gordon 'Swede' Oleson, age 90, of White Lake, WI died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Bohlman Assisted Living in Birnamwood in the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was born March 30, 1916 in Shawano, WI to the late August and Jessie (Goodchild) Olsson.
Educated in Hollister, WI he joined the Merchant Marines with his two brothers during WWll and continued to serve for 47 years in the Merchant Marines retiring in 1982. He was a member of the MEBA union and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.

Two Grandsons Michael (Carol) Sommers, JR of Aberdeen
Patrick (Gina) Sommers of Aberdeen
Six Great Grandchildren Brandon, Austin, Paige, Braden, Alec, and Carley
A Sister Dorothy Roberts of Madison, WI
Four nieces; Judy Fermanich, Jan Olsson, Patricia Stone, Ginger Resch and Four nephews Michael, William, Gary, and Tom Olsson
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Casper Olson and Kermit Olsson, a sister Voris Little, a niece Sherry Novak and a nephew James Olsson.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 19, 2007 at 10 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45, Antigo, WI. Deacon Tom Hartman will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:30 to 7 PM and Monday 9 to 10 at Bradley Funeral Home.
White Lake Veterans will conduct Military Honors Monday at the Lily Cemetery
Burial will be in the Lily Cemetery, Lily, WI
