Germaine L. Christiansen of Antigo died Tuesday December 26, 2006, at Care Partners in Antigo, at age 98. She was born August 4, 1908 in Antigo a daughter of the late James and Theresa (Zimmerman) Steber. On June 3, 1961 she married Roman Christiansen in Manistee, Michigan, he preceded her in death February 5, 1994. Mrs. Christiansen attended the third ward school and graduated from Antigo High School in 1926. She was employed by Dr. Portman and Dr. Kestly in Antigo, and worked at Woolworths department store for fifteen years all prior to her marriage. She and her husband lived in Manistee, Michigan from 1961 until 1983 when they returned to Antigo.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five sisters; Clara Liptak, Emma Ano, Theresa Steber, Agnes Jesse, and Evelyn Dickow. Five brothers; Edward, Rudy, Ervin, Anthony, and James.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 29, 2006 at St. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:30 - 7:00 pm on Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home with parish wake service at 4:00 pm. Visitation on Friday will be from 8:30 - 9:30 am at the funeral home.
