Our thoughts and prayers are with you
My thoughts prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time
just went fishing and thought about my cousin Rick
who was the first person I went trout fishing with
in a stream, nonetheless!
the Lily River just north of the Menominee Reservation
the old family cabin that's still there
we were both young boys
he got a barbed hook stuck in his thumb
and we had to go have my uncle push it through the skin and snip off the barb
we were fascinated by the coloration of the fish
and the stream currents and depths and eddies
and his woven creel basket that we put our catch in
I truly loved this cousin of mine from the days of toddlerhood
feeding ducks at the milwaukee medical college ponds
to swinging on ropes in the hayloft of their barn on townline road
to climbing trees to eat our hamburgers so the dogs couldn't steal them from our young boy hands
and riding hogs like bucking broncos...holding on to their ears
and getting thrown every time and laughing at the joy of the experience
I think I may have known him better than anyone when he was at his purest and happiest
I pray may God please welcome him home
Didn't know him well, but he made my friend Luella so happy--she just shined all the time. I am so sad for her loss of wonderful husband and friend. I pray for strength for her to get through. Love you Lu!
Rick was such a nice Guy...We didn't know him real well but he was always so friendly, and we will miss him saying hi to us in the stores....We love you Wella and we are praying for you.
